SUP, Kayak, and Mountain Bike Guide

I was a collegiate baseball player and a biology student at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. This place is one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been to let alone lived in. I decided a few years back I’d love to be involved in helping others see some of the true beauties Santa Barbara has to offer. From those visiting to the many locals that have lived here for years and never ventured out on the ocean or hiked one of the trails overlooking the city, SB Channe, and Channel Islands. I hold a personal training certification from NASM and will do just about anything from mountain biking to stand up paddling to kite boarding. Myself and anyone at SB Fitness Tours would love to take you on any one of the activities we offer.

Surf, Sup, & Paddle Surf Instructor, Personal Trainer

Born and raised in Santa Cruz California, Kevin developed a deep connection with the ocean from a young age. “Surfing has been one of my biggest passions since my dad pushed me into my first wave when I was only five, and since then I have traveled to some world class surf destinations, and have competed in several surf contests, and paddle board races. In 2003 Kevin took first place in Santa Cruz’s high school surf league. “I grew up playing just about every sport known to man. I realized the knowledge I had gained through my own pursuits could be used to help others live happier and healthier lives”. He has been working as a fitness professional for over 7 years, holds an Associates Degree in Exercise Science, and is a Certified Health and Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). “I am so stoked to have joined forces with SB Fit Tours! Why spend all of your time inside a gym when you could go outside and experience the beauty that Santa Barbara has to offer? Whether its personal training on the beach, going surfing, hiking through the foothills, or touring the coastline on a kayak or paddleboard, I can show you how exercise can feel less like work and more like play. That’s why I operate by the motto Train Hard, Play Hard!”Other Certifications: CPR AED TRX Suspension Training Core Fitness Roller Level 1 Trainer Parisi Speed School Performance Coach

Biking Guide

I LOVE cycling! Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California I grew up riding the beautiful single track as well as the mountain and beach front roads the town is known for. In my early career I competed and placed in quite a few races such as the Keysville Classic, Parkfield, and Firestone. My approach to touring is a custom fit, patient, no pressure ride for the beginner and group outings to leading the world class cyclist through some of the toughest terrain and most brutal climbs the area has. If you are looking for a leisure road ride with a loved one, or a high adrenaline single track down hill with buddies, my coaching and knowledge of the area has you covered.

SUP Yoga Instructor

I graduated Santa Barbara City College in 2009 and went on to pursue dance, yoga, nutrition, and exercise science. I’m currently a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Trainer, through Let It Go Yoga and am certified in 6 different styles of yoga. My clientele ranges from children, athletes, senior citizens, and pregnant women, to kids with mental and physical disabilities. Currently I teach at Goleta Valley Athletic Club, Cathedral Oaks Athletic Club and for the Down Syndrome Association of Santa Barbara with my newest addition being with SB Fitness Tours. Passions include the beach, yoga, and paddle boarding so it was only fitting that I help lead something that mixes them all together; PADDLE BOARD YOGA ! It’ll keep you on your toes and is one of the more exciting versions of yoga you’ll find anywhere; all while getting in tune with nature as you float on top of the Pacific Ocean. Come check it out!

I started surfing at age 11 with my dad waking me up at 6:00am to dawn patrol at Rincon. I was born and raised in beautiful Santa Barbara and try to enjoy all the natural beauty this area has to offer. Growing up I always stayed active and played on a traveling club soccer team. I worked as a surf instructor for my churchs kid’s camp every summer as well. After high school I studied Communication at California State University of Monterey Bay. I then went on to change my major to Interior Design and transferred universities to Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii. While living in Hawaii I found my love of stand up paddling in Waikiki. Currently, I am CPR certified and I love to stay active and life a healthy lifestyle.
