We'll take you to some of the local mountain biking hot spots in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Goleta, and Santa Ynez. Our tour guides are not only amazing riders, but know the terrain inside and out. Mountain Bike Tours

Beginner Tour Difficulty: Easy Ride Length: 2 Hours Cost: $95 pp w/ 2 or more, $115 for a single rider Description Miles of hard-pack dirt paths meander atop the Santa Barbara bluffs. Enveloped by Eucalyptus trees on a relatively flat preserve, families (or anyone looking to warm up the legs) choose this route over other mountain bike tours in Santa Barbara for its beach views!

Santa Barbara Tour Difficulty: Easy-Moderate Ride Length: 2 Hours Cost: $95 pp w/ 2 or more, $115 for a single rider Description The largest privately funded park in America, with it’s twisting single track and locally made slalom course, Eling’s is perfect for begginer and intermediate riders to hone in their techical skills while improving finess. Great Views of Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands on a clear day!

Downhill Epic View Shuttle/Tour Difficulty: Beginner / Intermediate Ride Length: 2-3 Hours Includes: Bike Rental, Pick-up, Shuttle, Guide Cost: $155 pp – 2 Person min Description We will shuttle you to an elevation of 4,000 feet over looking all of Santa Barbara, the Channel and the Channel Islands. We guarantee you this is the best view in all of Santa Barbara. From here you'll descend 2,500 feet down a fire road and single track mix; all relatively pretty easy. You can absolutely fly down this or cruise at your own pace and take in the breathtaking views! At the bottom our guide will meet you and take you on some fun cross country riding through some beautiful lush areas. The cross-county ride at the bottom can range between 4-10 miles depending on how far you'd like to ride.

Romero Tour Difficulty: Moderate-Hard Ride Length: 2.5-3.5 Hours Cost: $125 pp w/ 2 or more, $145 for a single rider Description This intermidiate/advanced ride starts on rocky fire road and climbs 2500ft. The back-country and ocean views are incredible. And with two options for return, the downhill accomadates both elite and the more tentative riders.

Jesusita Tour Difficulty: Moderate-Hard Ride Length: 2-3 Hours Cost: $125 pp w/ 2 or more, $145 for a single rider Description I love this trail! This is eight miles of mountain bike madness: jumps, roots, rock climbs/rock stairs, wood stairs, switch backs, creek sections, views, technical, technical, technical, and all rideable if you’re made of steel.

XC Tour Difficulty: Moderate-Hard Ride Length: 2-3 Hours Includes: Bike Rental, Pick-up, Shuttle, Guide Cost: $125 pp w/ 2 or more $145 for a single rider Description If locals had to choose their favorite mountain bike tours in Santa Barbara, this would be one! It will take you through a cross country trail system you'd never find on your own! The ride will mix single track with road riding as we connect a bunch of smaller trail systems. You'll see a very beautiful portion of Santa Barbara on this ride that most miss when visiting SB: views, green scenery, mansions, island views, etc. We can add some things to this tour for the more avid rider and keep it pretty leisurely for the more recreational rider.

Romero Elite Tour Difficulty: Hard Ride Length: 3-4.5 Hours Cost: $145 pp w/ 2 or more, $165 for a single rider Description This is the Romero ride on juice. 2500ft climb, then another mile of challening single track. Follow that with a road climb before decending 3000 of some of the most radical feet around. If you’re not DONE by the end, we have a few tricks up our sleeve to complete this adventure.

Downhill Mania! Difficulty: Intermediate/Advanced Ride Length: 3-4 Hours All-Inclusive: Bike Rental, Pick-up, Shuttle, Guide, & Food all included! Cost: $175 pp – 2 Person min Description If you're looking for adrenaline then this tour is for you! Not only do you get the most downhill you'll find anywhere in Santa Barbara we'll even pick you up with the bikes. Definitely one of the best no hassle mountain bike trips you'll take. We can shuttle you for 4,000 of pure decent or option two has 3,200 feet of decent and 1,200 feet of climbing over roughly 14 miles. It's roughly a 30 minute drive to the trail head. The ride begins with 3.5 miles of heart pumping downhill as you decend 2,000 feet. We'll meet you at the bottom with our vehicle to either shuttle you back to the top or if you'd like to do a bit of climbing we have another ride to take you on. If you opt for option two the guide will ride with you up a fire road climbing roughly 1200 feet with the last 200 being single track. Once we reach this saddle we have some more amazing downhill. This downhill is a bit more flowy than your first. This second loop is roughly 10 miles long. Afterward we'll stop by Cold Springs Tavern for lunch and a drink!

Backcountry XC Tour Difficulty: Moderate / Advanced Ride Length: 4-6 Hours Cost: $175 pp with 2 or more, $215 for a single rider Description This tour is for endurance riders with some technical riding ability. Your day will begin with a complimentary shuttle pick up from your hotel or vacation rental. We'll take you 40 minutes to some back country trails. The ride begins with a long 12 mile ascent on a fire road; you will climb a little over 3,000 feet. From the top you can see over the entire Channel and even on the other side of the Channel Islands. You'll have a fun 6 mile downhill consisting of all single track. There are some pretty quick sections and a lot of narrow areas with switchbacks. On the way back we'll stop by Cold Springs Tavern for a bite and a brew on us. This is an all-day tour with the actual riding time being between 4-6 hours.

Biking Guide

Born and raised in the Midwest, bikes played an important role in my childhood. Bikes signified independence and freedom to explore. When I finished high school, I left Ohio to explore further. It seemed right to go to Colorado. With my passion for bikes growing, I began working in bike shops. I left my freestyle BMX roots for bicycle trials moving onto mountain biking. I fell for mountain biking my first time out.

After living in Colorado for ten years, I needed to explore again. This time, my goals were bigger than before. I left Colorado by bike January 1st, 2012 headed for the Florida Keys. From there, North to Maine, across to Seattle, and finally down to L.A. In Big Sur, I met my current girlfriend. She lured me out to Santa Barbara, where I was afraid mountain biking would not be. Boy was I wrong.

Now with 10 years shop and trail experience, I'm eager to show others a side of Santa Barbara that is seemingly under the radar. The riding out here is incredible and year round! From beach front bluffs to serious climbs in serious mountains, there are trails for just about anyone. Come see for yourself!
